There’s a reason why a car collision is the first thing people think about when they hear the word “collision”. Car collisions are one of the top reasons for human deaths every year, and so it only makes sense why many countries around the world have dozens of laws that promote safe driving.

A car collision, or a traffic collision, whichever you want to call it, occurs when two or more vehicles collide with each other, or when a vehicle collides with a pedestrian, animal, or architectural or geographical obstacle. Head-on vehicle collisions are some of the worst types of car collisions on the road.

Car collisions often result in property damage, injury, or death.

Several factors contribute to car collisions happening on the road. Common factors include the driver having poor eyesight or a physical impairment, fatigue, excessive alcohol before and while driving, and drug use. Even prescription drugs, especially the drowsy kinds, fall within the last category.

Avoid car collisions by making sure you’re in top condition before you get behind the wheel. If you have vision impairment, wear eyeglasses or contact lenses. The car too needs to be in top condition at all times to lessen the risk of you losing control of it while on the road.
