A collision is the last thing you want to get involved in while driving. It might not sound like a big deal, but did you know that road accidents account for a significant chunk of human fatalities every year? Think about that next time you drive home drunk late at night from a friend’s party or else forget to strap your seatbelt.

In scientific terms, a collision refers to an isolated event where two or more bodies exert strong forces against each other for a short amount of time.

Imagine a basketball hitting the ground while dribbling, or a 100 mph fastball colliding against a baseball bat. The faster both objects are going, the harder the force of impact upon collision. This is why head-on collision of two vehicles is one of the deadliest forms of traffic road accidents.

But collisions aren’t limited to public roads. Collisions are divided into three different categories: attacking with the body, striking with a weapon, and ramming with an object. Attacking includes punching and kicking, striking with a weapon could mean anything from a club to an axe, while car collision falls into the third category.

Feel free to browse our pages for more information on collisions.
